it all started back in 2006…

Tom was walking on the beach one day when he came across some washed up rope and thought to himself “what could I create out of this?” after playing around with the rope the first New England Rope Wreath was made, which we still have proudly handing in our shop today.

Tom designed our unique logo from a family photo of Dan Peach & Mandon Bates fishing in front of Children’s Island in Marblehead, back in 1935.

Our Shanty has been lovingly preserved in its original condition inside & out. The Shanty is where we have our live “Shanty Cam” overlooking the first harbor to be settled in the town of Marblehead.

Our small family ran business was named “First Harbor Company” as it’s steeped in tradition & nestled in the heart of a historical coastal town in New England.

Today First Harbor Company is ran by Tom & Samantha Peach who continue to create unique nautical gifts.
